Roaming Pokémon is a spawn mechanic introduced to Pokémon Vortex in v5 that sees certain Pokémon move from one location to another on an hourly basis (XX:00 UTC)
There is no way of knowing the location of a Roaming Pokémon until it has been found. Once found, it will remain in that location for the remainder of that hour (UTC time) allowing it to theoretically be hunted/farmed for a short period of time.
Some general rules to Roaming Pokémon are:
- They will never spawn in water
- They will never spawn in caves or indoor locations such as the Power Plant
- More than one Roaming Pokémon can be in the same location at the same time
- They will never spawn in towns/cities with the exception of New Haven
- New spawn location can be the same as the previous location
- They will always spawn during both day and night
