Sidequests is a mini game feature of Pokémon Vortex which includes of player vs Trainer battles (computer controlled). Sidequest battles are available for all the regions shown in the anime, and each region has a specific number of battles. While some regions have 50 battles, Hoenn Region boasts of over 200 battles. If you are thinking Sidequests is a waste of your time, think again before drawing that conclusion, because each region in the sidequest comes with it's own set of rewards, most of them being Fossil Pokémon, which cannot be caught on the maps. Other rewards include some Mega Stones which cannot be bought in the Pokémart, and the Orbs needed for Primal Evolution of Groudon and Kyogre.
At present, 1212 Sidequest battles are playable, however, the total number counts to 1912, which will be added in the near future.
