The Side Pokédex is a collection of Roaming Pokémon inspired by unique Pokémon that have appeared in the Pokémon television series and spin-off video games. These Pokémon only come in the Normal variant – they do not have the other usual five variants, Dark, Metallic, Mystic, Shadow or Shiny.
Mechanics
Pokémon in the Side Pokédex can be found in the wild as Roaming Pokémon that change each month. Players can see the current and next Roamer of the Month on the in-game Dashboard, along with a countdown of how many days are left to find the current one. The Pokémon are cycled through in a fixed order (see here for the list): for example, Mewtwo (Shadow) was first available during the month of October 2025; the next time it will be available will be seventeen months later, in March 2027.
