What is the Pokemon Vortex discord quiz?
Pokemon Vortex has a quiz system in its official discord server, players can join the discord server and regularly participate in the quizzes which take place on an hourly basis. The quiz allows the players to collect Quiz Coins, players can use these quiz coins to buy certain items from the quiz shop, certain items in the quiz shop are exclusive to it and can't be obtained through other methods, unless the players trade/buy from other players.
Quiz Shop
Quizzers can use their quiz coins to buy various items/pokemons from the quiz shop, using the command !shop in the #quiz channel of the discord server allows players to view the shop options.

Quiz Commands
- Players can use the !pingme command to obtain the "
Quizzer" role in the discord server, players with this role recieve a ping right before a new quiz is about to start. To remove the role, players can again use the !pingme command which removes the role. - The !coins command is used to check the player's current coin count.
- The !next is used to know when is the next quiz.
Structure of the Discord Quiz
The Discord quiz consists of 8 types of questions:
1) "What is the name of this gym badge?"
2) "What level is required for this evolution?"
3) "Who's that Pokemon?"
4) "What item is needed for this evolution?"
5) "Name a Pokemon which matches both of these types?"
6) "Unscramble these letters to make the name of a Pokemon."
7) "Unscramble these letters to make the name of an attack."
8) "Which Pokemon created this footprint?"
Each Quiz has 10 questions, the first eight questions are from each of the types, the 9th and 10th question are the same type as the 1st and 2nd questions, respectively.
Example: If the 1st question is "Who's that Pokemon?" and 2nd question is "What is the name of this gym badge?" then the 9th and 10th questions will be "Who's that Pokemon?" and "What is the name of this gym badge?", respectively.
Guide to Quiz and Quiz-Questions
For new players getting started with the Vortex-Quiz it might seem a little difficult at the start, this section is a rough guide about the quiz itself, how to approach certain questions, certain things one may not understand when starting off, etc.

1) When does quiz start?
Players can use the !next command to see when the next quiz starts, the quiz is hourly, starting at XX:00 UTC.
2) Why is the quiz so fast?
When a question is displayed, the chat is locked for a few seconds so that everyone can see the question, then the chat is unlocked and people can start to type answers, when the correct answer is typed in by any player the chat remains open for 2-3 seconds before closing, players must be correct and quick in order for their answer to reach the Vortex-Bot.
3) Why did I get a message saying, "Your message could not be delivered." even though I typed my answer quick enough?
This error occurs when the quizzer sends their message in time but the message reaches Discord too late and the channel is already locked by then and thus the error message.
4) Do spellings matter?
Yes. It is most important to get the spelling right for each and every answer you give or else the Vortex-Bot will assume it as incorrect even if the error is small, if answer to a question is "popplio" then it can't be "poplio" or anything like that, as the Vortex-Bot will assume it to be incorrect. It is also important to note that the answers aren't case-sensitive, they can be "PoPPlio" or "POPPLIO", the Vortex-Bot will accept these as correct answers, on a similar note, special characters don't effect your answer, answering "Popplio." or "Popplio/" won't be incorrect. Numbers on the other hand will mess up your answer, "Po9pplio" or "popplio0" will be assumed as incorrect by the Vortex-Bot.
5) How many footprints are there to learn?
• Pokemon after gen 5 do not have footprints in the quiz.
• Pokemon from gens 1-5 which are levitating/flying, do not have footprints.
• Pokemon from gens 1-5 which have small dots as footprints do not appear in quiz (since they are indistinguishable).
