Ancient Pokémon is a variant of Pokémon with 25% more defense compared to other variants.
Ancient Pokémon were one of the special variants in Pokémon Vortex. These Pokémon had 25% more defense compared to other variants.


They were discontinued in [[Pokémon Vortex]] Version 3. In their place, the Pokémon Vortex Developers brought back [[Metallic (Variant)|Metallic]] Pokémon previously used in Pokémon Crater.
With the game transition from [[Pokémon_Vortex#Version_2|Version 2]] to [[Pokémon_Vortex#Version_3|Version 3]], Ancient Pokémon were replaced with [[Metallic_(Variant)|Metallic]] Pokémon.


Below is an example of an Ancient [[Munchlax]].

All of these Pokémon were made by staff of Pokémon Vortex. They cannot be found on the maps anymore.
 
In [[Pokémon_Vortex#Version_2|Version 2]] of Pokémon Vortex, all Pokémon up to Generation V were obtainable in Ancient Variant.

With the game transition from Version 2 to Version 3, Ancient Pokémon were replaced with Metallic Pokémon.



All of these Pokémon were made by staff of Pokémon Vortex. They cannot be found on the maps anymore.

In Version 2 of Pokémon Vortex, all Pokémon up to Generation V were obtainable in Ancient Variant.
