Ancient Pokemon were a variant of Pokemon Vortex till vortex representatives and other staff decide to remove this variant and replace them with Metallic and Shadow Variants. These Pokemons were displayed on site till version 2 of Pokemon Vortex and was fist added on 16 December 2009. They were made by Masqeurain3,a former staff in Pokémon Vortex.They are a brownish colour to represent the theme of "ancient", made to look very old. They also have a 25% defense bonus in battles. Ancient Pokemon may not be used on Pokemon Vortex any more.
