Evolution
Steelix (Mega)

Steelix (Japanese: ハガネール Haganeil) is a dual-type Steel/Ground Pokémon. It evolves from Onix using a Metal Coat and evolves into Steelix (Mega) using a Steelixite. (Mega evolution is not reversible in Pokémon Vortex).

Locations

Steelix cannot be caught on the maps.

Availability

Steelix is currently available within Pokémon Vortex through the following methods:

  • Evolution (Evolves from Onix)
  • Trade

Types Currently Available

Steelix is currently available in six types on Pokémon Vortex; Normal, Shiny, Dark, Mystic, Metallic and Shadow.

Normal Shiny Dark Mystic Metallic Shadow
Steelix Shiny Steelix Dark Steelix Mystic Steelix Metallic Steelix Shadow Steelix

Types Not Available

With the game transition from Version 2 to Version 3, Ancient Pokémon were replaced with Metallic Pokémon. This change made it currently impossible to obtain the Ancient version of Steelix and every other Pokémon.

It is unsure whether these will be seen in the game again but development shows no interest in ever bringing them back.
