Pink Pokémon are one of the special appearances within Sidequests. Often mistaken for a variant such as Shiny, these Pokémon don't have any special stats like a variant would, are not obtainable to players and exist only as battle opponents.
These Pokémon are based on the Pink Pokémon of Pinkan Island, from the Pokémon anime episode "In the Pink."
As of v6, one Pink Pokémon has been made obtainable to players within the Side Pokédex with no plans for others to follow. The Pokémon chosen was the iconic Pink Rhyhorn.
