Clans provide a great environment for friends, trading, and competition. They provide players with opportunities to become involved with players in ways that wouldn't be possible without clans. Most notable are: Clan exclusive giveaways, clan battles, and clan joint accounts.
How to make a Clan
1. The leader of the clan must complete the all of the gyms, elite 4, champions, battle frontiers, and battle maison. 2. Fill out an application for a new clan. This includes a clan name and a clan tag. A clan tag is a tag which is placed next to member's player name. 3. Wait for Patrick to approve your name and clan tag.
Tips on Clan Management
- Make a Forum Topic. This gives other members of Vortex a way to see what you and your clan members have been doing. One of the best methods is to host giveaways on the forums that are clan exclusive, this is a sure way that other people will want to join your clan so that they will also be allowed to participate in the giveaways.

Joining and Picking the Right Clan
Some players find choosing a clan difficult sometimes, however, here are some quick points and tips to aid in picking a clan.
- If the requirements to join a clan are higher exp, unique Pokemon, and battle requirements, then it's difficult to join. However, these clans are usually a higher ranking, so if rank is important to you, apply to a clan with higher requirements.
- By all means, join a clan that you already have friends in. This will strengthen your friendship, and if your friend is the leader, he/she could give you a moderating position within the clan.
- There are types of clans out there. Some want to fight enemy clans and climbing their way to the top, but others want to have general funny little community clans clans. Join one that fits you the best.
