Volcanion Event
Volcanion was released on all fire maps during both the day and night from the 11th of November, 2014 to the 12th of November, 2014. Volcanions could have been found in their Normal, Shiny, Dark, Mystic, Metallic and Shadow variants. All had the appearance rate of every other legendary Pokemon.

Caterpie (Christmas) was released on all grass maps only during the night on the 25th of December, 2014. Caterpie (Christmas) had an appearance rate like every legendary Pokemon. This event lasted until the 27th of December, 2014.

New Year 2015 - Pikachu Cosplay Event
On the 2nd of January, 2015, all players received an Event Ticket, which allowed the player to open the Event Center. Players were required to catch every normal form of Unown to get one random Pikachu Cosplay. This event ended on the 13th of January, 2015.

Kyurem Event
On the 8th of July, 2015, every player that defeated the event trainers received an event ticket. After unlocking event center, players were required to buy a DNA Splicer for 500,000 . A DNA Splicer enabled players to fuse their Kyurem and Reshiram into Kyurem (White). Also, players had the option of fusing Kyurem and Zekrom into Kyurem (Black). After the kyurems were fused, they were automatically lvl 100. On the 9th of July, 2015, an IRC Pokemon Vortex chat room giveaway began. Random Kyurem variants were given in chat every 30 minutes, or when 10 new members joined. The event, and chat giveaway, ended on the 20th of July, 2015. The event returned on the 21st of May, 2016 and lasted until the 12th of June, 2016.

Zygarde Event
The Pokemon Vortex Zygarde event started on the 2nd of October, 2015. A DNA Splicer was required for the event. However, if a player already bought a DNA Splicer during the previous Kyurem event, that player was not require to purchase a DNA Splicer a second time. The price was the same at 500,000 . The Zygarde (Cell) was available on cave land maps during both the day and night. The Zygarde (Cell) could be found in all of it's forms: Normal, Shiny, Dark, Mystic, Metallic, and Shadow. Zygarde (Cell) had an appearance rate like that of every other non-legendary Pokemon. Zygarde (Core) was available on cave land maps during both the day and night. Zygarde (Core) could be found in all of it's forms: Normal, Shiny, Dark, Mystic, Metallic, and Shadow. Zygarde (Core) had an appearance rate like that of every other legendary Pokemon. There were also twitter and IRC chat room giveaways for Zygarde (Core). Zygarde (Partial) was attainable by fusing 10 Zygarde (Cell) and 1 Zygarde (Core). The final form, a Zygarde (Complete), was available by fusing 5 Zygarde (Partial) and 1 Zygarde. This event ended on the 30th of October, 2015. The event returned on the 22nd of April, 2016, but ended on the 20th of May, 2016. Instead of the caveland maps, the zygarde cores and cells were found on the grass maps during both the night and day.

Halloween 2015 - Rotom (Halloween) Event
Players were able to earn an event ticket by beating all Event Trainers. After unlocking event center, a trainer called Creeper was waiting to battle. After defeating him, players received a Normal Rotom (Halloween), and a chance to challenge Creeper a second time. However, the second time Creeper is significantly stronger, and reward for defeating him a second time was a random Shiny, Dark, Mystic, Metallic or Shadow variant of Rotom (Halloween). This event lasted from the 30th of October, 2015 to the 2nd of November, 2015.
Rotom (Halloween) was released for a second time as a claim event on October 31st 2017 and ended the following day on November 1st 2017.

Arceus Exchange v1 - Arceus (Water) Event
In order to obtain an Arceus (Water), players were require to complete Sinnoh Side Quests. After a player had completed the Side Quests, then the event center allowed that player to exchange their Sinnoh Side Quest Ribbon into a Water Plate. With the Water Plate, it was possible to evolve an Arceus into an Arceus (Water). The event lasted from the 28th of June 2016 to the 10th of July, 2016.

In order to obtain an Arceus (Electric), players were require to complete Sinnoh Side Quests. Diglett (Christmas) was the first event Pokémon to be introduced via a mini-game. In order to obtain one, players had to randomly spin a slot machine of 3. There was a small chance to win a Diglett (Christmas), Caterpie (Christmas), or a Pikachu (Christmas). This event started on December 15th, 2016 and ended December 27th, 2016.

New Year 2017 - Alolan Starters Event
From the 30th of December, 2016, through the 1st of January, 2017, players could claim a Rowlet, Litten, or Popplio of a random type from their dashboard. After hitting level 17, these Pokemon would evolve into Dartrix, Torracat, and Brionne respectively. Finally, at level 34 these Pokemon would evolve into Decidueye, Incineroar, or Primarina.
Rowlet, Litten and Popplio were later introduced on the maps in Pokémon Vortex v4 making them no longer event exclusive Pokémon.

Deoxys Scavenger Hunt - Deoxys Forms Event
Deoxys forms, became available to players from the 9th of February, 2017, through the 23rd of February, 2017. In order to claim a Deoxys (Attack), Deoxys (Defense), or Deoxys (Speed), players had to complete a series of 10 tasks that varied in difficulty such as catching a specific Pokémon or getting to a certain point in Sidequests. In order to obtain a Cubone (Vader), players were require to login into game then claim a free random variant from dashboard. The event was live for the 4th of May, 2017 and ran for 24 hours.

Christmas 2017 - Arceus (Ice) & Dugtrio (Christmas)
On December 24th 2017 after a long radio silence about any Christmas event happening, it was announced on Discord that Diglett (Christmas) obtained from the previous year or ones obtained this year from Mystery Boxes would be able to evolve to Dugtrio (Christmas) for a limited time. This event evolution was accompanied by Arceus (Ice) being released on the Ice Cave maps and double experience both running for a limited time too.
This event had each segment end on different dates:
- Double Experience ended on December 27th 2017
- Diglett (Christmas) evolution ended on December 28th 2017
- Arceus (Ice) on the maps ended on December 29th 2017

On April 1st 2018 players had a chance at getting Arceus (Unknown) by playing a Magikarp Splash minigame.

May 4th 2018 - Psyduck (Jar Jar) Event
On May 4th 2018 the daily login calendar had a 100% fixed prize drop of a random variant of Psyduck (Jar Jar) - A Psyduck designed to resemble the character Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars for Star Wars Day. This is the third Star Wars based Pokémon to be added along side Pikachu (Jedi) and Cubone (Vader).

Ultra Beast Bonanza - Stakataka Event
On September 22nd 2018, all Ultra Beasts had double their usual spawn rate with Necrozma being slightly more common than the rest. This event seen the introduction of Stakataka which was originally scheduled to be released in the v4.2.x update along with the other previously unreleased Ultra Beasts from Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon.
